Getting Our Babies to College 101 is a parent-to-parent resource started by a mother who went through the college application process successfully and was able to get an academic scholarship for her child. This firsthand information is taught through easy, interactive workshops covering numerous topics.
Just Like Me Book Box
The Just Like Me! Book Box was built on the foundation of exposing children of color to literature, characters, authors and stories that are
reflective of them. Picture books are among the first representations of the broader world that we see and they are introduced at a critical time. Their mission to spark a lifelong love of reading and self-discovery with every box shipped. Members receive a perfectly curated box filled with African-American children’s books and other educational tools.
Kids’ Book Bank
Established in 2015 the Kids Book Bank provides free books to schools, pediatricians, childcare centers, after-school programs, and agencies that teach parents and caregivers to read with their children. Their mission is to foster improved literacy and a love of reading by providing free books to children in need.
Red Clover Reader
Red Clover Reader addresses parents’ and educators’ concerns surrounding poor quality screen time and lack of diversity in children’s literature by working with independent authors to feature more diverse, value-focused children’s books at home and in school!
